Jack S. Levy, General Partner, 37, is a corporate lawyer and executive with experience in building high-growth companies and leading management teams through successful capital raising, international expansion and acquisition processes. From 1999 through 2003, Jack was Vice President and General Counsel of Register.com where he helped build the company from $9m to over $100m in revenues, guiding the firm as it expanded operations into five countries and multiple business lines and successfully grew to become a leader in its market. Jack played a central role in the company’s successful initial public offering, in its three acquisitions and multiple investments and joint ventures and in its successful defense of a threatened hostile takeover attempt. Previously, Jack served as a corporate attorney for New York firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher, serving top-tier clients including Teva Pharmaceuticals and Warburg Pincus. Prior to this, Jack served as a corporate attorney at Tulchinsky Stern in Tel Aviv. In this capacity, Jack represented prominent Israeli investors Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), Bank Hapoalim and Clal, as well as a number of start-up companies. Jack routinely speaks at cleantech forums and conferences in Israel and around the globe. Jack holds a B.A., magna cum laude from Harvard College and a J.D. from
Columbia Law School where he was a Stone Scholar.
In 2000, Glen moved to the US to establish and lead JVP's New York office, where he cultivated relationships for the firm on both the East and West coasts with venture capital funds and strategic partners. Upon returning to Israel in 2002, Glen led the creation of JVP Studio, JVP’s seed stage incubator investment vehicle. Glen led the negotiations with Israel’s Office of the Chief Scientist to acquire the license to privatize the former Jerusalem Software Incubator, while simultaneously recruiting a new management team for the incubator. Today, JVP Studio is home to exceptional seed stage companies that focus on the enterprise software and new media markets. It provides a suite of critical services including seed financing, management guidance, infrastructure and strategic direction to outstanding entrepreneurs, and is recognized across the industry in Israel as a model for successful seed-stage technology investing. Prior to JVP, Glen was Director of Consulting at Jerusalem Global Ltd. from 1994-1997, where he garnered extensive experience in cultivating and growing young startup companies. While at Jerusalem Global, Glen created and managed a team of consultants that developed business plans and conducted market research for some of Israel's leading communications and software start-ups. In addition, he consulted to several well-established Israeli companies including ECI Telecom, Tadiran Telecommunications and Israel Aircraft Industries. Glen sits on several Boards of Directors including Metrolight, an ICV portfolio company, Cyoptics, Horizon Semiconductors and Natan, and Jewish non-profit organization. Glen holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government
at Harvard University and a B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard College.
Meir began his career working together with Glen Schwaber at Jerusalem Global Ltd., an Israeli merchant bank that was a leading source of private equity funding for Israeli tech companies during the 1990s. At Jerusalem Global, Meir led the angel financing of QXL Ltd., an investment which generated the highest IRR in the firm’s history. He also worked together with Glen on the initiation and structuring of a joint venture between Jerusalem Global and CDC, Taiwan’s largest investment bank. Meir is regularly invited to speak at cleantech and venture capital conferences around Israel and the world. Meir holds a B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia College
in Political Science and East Asian Studies, and speaks Mandarin.
Lila is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a B.A. in Finance
and Accounting from the Tel Aviv College of Business Management. Melanie Braunold,
Director of Investor Relations, is responsible for investor relations,
marketing and PR at Israel Cleantech Ventures, and brings a wealth of
experience in these fields – both in Israel and internationally. Arnon Goldfarb,
Venture Partner, 56 is the CEO of TMB Water, a water project
company active in desalination, aquaculture and water treatment efforts
in Israel and abroad. Prior to establishing TMB in 2001, Arnon spent 17
years with Israel Chemicals Ltd., where he served as Corporate VP for
Business Development and Chairman of the R&D, Fertilizers and Chemicals,
and Ceramics units and was a director at ICL's Israel Desalination Engineering
(IDE) subsidiary as well as its potash, phosphate, and bromine subsidiaries.
Prior to joining ICL, Arnon worked in the oil and gas industry in Israel
and the US as a production and facilities engineer with Superior oil and
Israel national oil co., and as a production and field manager for Israel's
Sadot natural gas field.
Israel holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, specializing
in energy, from the Technion.
Eytan was the founder and the first chairman of the Israeli waste water treatment forum. He is a co-founder of Waterfronts – Israel Water Alliance and a member of the Israel Water Association. Eytan holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion (Cum Laude)
and an MBA from Bar Ilan University. Yigal Stav, Venture Partner, 64 is the former CEO of Netafim Ltd., the pioneer and global leader of modern agriculture and drip irrigation market. During Yigal’s 23 year tenure at Netafim, including 12 years as its CEO, Netafim grew from sales of $50 million to over $230 million in sales, and built a global presence as the world’s leading in the said business segment. Since 2002, Yigal has been an active director and manager of startup companies in the biotechnology and water technology sectors, and has served on the boards of several chemical and materials companies. Yigal holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from Hebrew University,
an M.Sc. in Physics from the Ben Gurion University of the Negev and an
MBA degree from Boston University’s branch in Israel. Advisory Board: Dr. Joseph Romm is a leading expert on clean energy,
advanced vehicles, energy security, and greenhouse gas mitigation. Dr.
Romm served as Acting Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy's
Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (“EERE”)
in 1997, and as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary from 1995 though
1998. As head of technology and market analysis for the OEERE, he helped
manage a fund of over $1 billion (the largest of its kind in the world)
aimed at encouraging businesses to develop and use clean energy technologies
and innovative transportation concepts, specifically in the areas of hybrid
vehicles, electric batteries, hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, renewable
energy, distributed generation, energy efficiency and biofuels. Dr. Romm
is a principal with the Capital E Group which provides strategic consulting,
technology assessment and sustainable design services to the clean energy
industry, and quoted regularly in the media and technical/policy journals.
